John Foran, MD
Medical Director, Huntington Hill Imaging Center
Dr. Jon Foran earned his medical degree from Hahnemann University in Philadelphia and completed his radiology residency at Los Angeles County/USC Medical Center. He is the medical director of breast imaging at Huntington-Hill Breast Center
, overseeing quality control and accreditation. Dr. Foran has expertise in breast MRI, CT,
ultrasound and nuclear medicine, and has specialized in breast imaging since 1994. He believes the best outcomes are tied to personalized care, which incorporates breast cancer risk assessment, patient expectations and exhaustive comparison of all available breast imaging.
Susan Murakami, MD
Co-Medical Director, HMH Pathology
Dr. Susan Murakami is a native of Southern California. She received her undergraduate degree from the California Institute of Technology, and her medical degree from the University of Michigan School of Medicine. She did her residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center then went on to fellowship training at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. Since joining Huntington Hospital in 1986, Dr. Murakami has been integral to the development and continued growth of the Huntington Hospital breast program. She has a special interest in breast pathology and in the specialized testing involving diagnosis and classification of breast
Jeannie Shen, MD
Medical Director of Breast Surgery
Dr. Jeannie Shen is a fellowship-trained breast surgical oncologist. She graduated from UC San Diego School of Medicine in 1998 and completed her general surgery residency at UC San Diego in 2003. She then moved to Houston, TX. where she went on to complete a breast surgical oncology fellowship at the University of Texas,
M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. She joined the Huntington Hospital breast cancer program in 2005, and is currently the medical director of breast surgery at Huntington Hospital. As a breast specialist, 100 percent of her practice is devoted to the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer and breast diseases. Born and raised in Monterey Park, CA. Dr. Shen speaks Mandarin Chinese fluently and has been involved in educational outreach programs to the Chinese community within the San Gabriel Valley.
Ruth C. Williamson, MD
Medical Director Breast Cancer Services
Dr. Ruth Williamson is a native of Pasadena. She graduated from USC School of Medicine in 1989, and completed her residency as chief resident in radiation oncology at USC in 1994. She joined the Huntington Hospital radiation oncology department in 1995, and became medical director of radiation oncology in 1998. She is also medical director of breast cancer services at Huntington Hospital. Dr. Williamson specializes in breast cancer and skin cancer. She has been involved in the development of the Huntington Breast Center and the many support services
, educational programs, and clinical trials for breast cancer patients as well as their families.

Registered Nurse Navigators guide you every step of the way - from the moment you become our patient, you are connected with a Registered Nurse Navigator who will answer all your questions and help coordinate every aspect of your care. You will be encouraged to take an active role in making informed decisions about your own treatment plan. You and your family will be involved to the fullest extent possible.

Barbara Ann Perry
Our social worker acts as a patient advocate, providing one-on-one therapy to not only the patient but their families as well. She is able to coordinate psychological
services including prevention, diagnosis, survivorship
, terminal care and bereavement counseling.
Our dietitian offers nutritional counseling through the assessment of each individual patient’s needs during treatment and therapy.
Our integrative oncology nurse practitioner works closely with the patient’s entire medical team through active treatment and afterwards. She offers a variety of Eastern medicine and holistic therapies which help to alleviate some of the side effects of therapy. Please see the integrative oncology

Cosmetologist – Appearance Center
Our cosmetologist is available by appointment on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in our Appearance Center
, to assist patients in addressing changes in appearance that can accompany cancer-related treatment. This may include help with selecting a wig or head covering, and skin care suggestions.
Our physical therapist has specialized training in the treatment and management of lymphedema
. Tamara also facilitates a monthly review class for signs and symptoms,
risk factors, and do’s and don’ts for managing lymphedema and its side-effects.
