Outpatient Psychiatric Services
Welcome to Della Martin outpatient psychiatric services. Our outpatient psychiatric services provide day service for adults with psychiatric and/or chemical dependencies who are experiencing moderate to severe symptoms. Della Martin outpatient services is structured to provide a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Chemical Dependency Outpatient Program (CDOP) designed to help individuals transition from the hospital to home, or to avoid hospitalization. Individuals will learn how to deal with their illnesses problem solving with individual counseling and working together in group therapy. Your care is provided in an environment that respects the individuals and supports his/her strengths and identified goals. Patients are included in their individualized treatment plan. Personal needs are assessed and reassessed by a multidisciplinary team including physician, psychiatric nurses, psychotherapist, rehabilitation therapist and chemical dependency counselors. Psychoeducation and awareness of patients’ rights are an essential part of the treatment process. Every effort is made to empower the client with knowledge to enable them to make healthy decisions regarding his/her treatment and recovery.
Treatment is based on the premise that individuals enter our program at different levels of cognitive and affective functioning. Individuals receive skilled therapeutic services, observation and interventions geared toward returning to the community and to improve function. It is understood that Individuals with chronic mental illness and/or substance abuse issues achieve baseline functioning at a variety of levels. Efforts are made to recognize each client as an individual and to support him/her in attaining a quality lifestyle.
The Medical Director is a board certified psychiatrist. Services are provided by a licensed clinical social worker, marriage family therapist, licensed occupational therapist and registered nurse. The program operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. We provide lunch and local transportation each treatment day.
