Non-Invasive Vascular Laboratory
The Huntington Hospital Non-invasive Vascular Laboratory is a
state-of-the-art facility dedicated to the diagnosis of vascular and
arterial disease. The lab provides a comprehensive array of services to
patients requiring vascular studies, including:
- Abdominal vascular studies
- Carotid studies
- Peripheral arterial scanning
- Peripheral venous scanning
- Transcranial imaging
- Vein mapping
Non-invasive vascular services are provided in the newly-designed
Huntington Pavilion, a comprehensive outpatient facility adjacent to
Huntington Hospital. Procedures are performed using
state-of-the-art-duplex imaging which combines ultrasound and Doppler
technologies to visualize and measure blood flow.
Multidisciplinary Specialists
Laboratory
services are provided by a multidisciplinary panel of board-certified
vascular surgeons, interventional radiologists, interventional
cardiologists and registered vascular technologists. All of the
physician members are certified in reading vascular studies, and
technologists meet regularly with cardiologists, radiologists and
vascular surgeons to correlate studies and evaluate patient outcomes.
Support Services
Non-invasive
laboratory services are performed Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to
6:30 p.m., at the Huntington Pavilion. Same-day scheduling is available
through the emergency department, and testing is available
24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week in the inpatient vascular lab. Final
reports for non-emergent patients are provided to referring physicians
within 24 hours of service.
