Non-Invasive Vascular Laboratory

The Huntington Hospital Non-invasive Vascular Laboratory is a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to the diagnosis of vascular and arterial disease. The lab provides a comprehensive array of services to patients requiring vascular studies, including:

  • Abdominal vascular studies
  • Carotid studies
  • Peripheral arterial scanning
  • Peripheral venous scanning
  • Transcranial imaging
  • Vein mapping

Non-invasive vascular services are provided in the newly-designed Huntington Pavilion, a comprehensive outpatient facility adjacent to Huntington Hospital. Procedures are performed using state-of-the-art-duplex imaging which combines ultrasound and Doppler technologies to visualize and measure blood flow.

Multidisciplinary Specialists
Laboratory services are provided by a multidisciplinary panel of board-certified vascular surgeons, interventional radiologists, interventional cardiologists and registered vascular technologists. All of the physician members are certified in reading vascular studies, and technologists meet regularly with cardiologists, radiologists and vascular surgeons to correlate studies and evaluate patient outcomes.

Support Services
Non-invasive laboratory services are performed Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., at the Huntington Pavilion. Same-day scheduling is available through the emergency department, and testing is available 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week in the inpatient vascular lab. Final reports for non-emergent patients are provided to referring physicians within 24 hours of service.
