Huntington Memorial Hospital hosted an emergency preparedness drill on its campus on May 9. The scenario was an "active shooter" in the hospital where police and fire personnel responded and took simulated action. Officials from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Tactics and Survival Training Unit, Pasadena Fire Department, and Pasadena Police Department, as well as Huntington Hospital staff, participated in the drill. "We appreciate the opportunity to collaborate with all of our local authorities in continuing to ensure that our staff is prepared to respond if/when necessary," said Senior Vice President of Philanthropy and Public Relations, Jane Haderlein. "Our hospital's strong partnerships with first responders is an ongoing source of pride that helps us best serve our patients and our community."
