Class Dates (Must attend all classes to receive credit):
10/1, 10/6, 10/15, 10/22, 10/24, 10/29, 11/3, 11/12 & 11/19 — 7:30 A.M. - 4:15 P.M.
Course Final 11/24 8:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M.
LA County EMS Agency MICN Exam 12/4 at 0800 (make-up date 12/16 at 1400).
LACO applications due to EMS Agency by 11/25
Continuing Education Credit - This course is approved for 70 hours of Instructor lead credit by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider #CEP 351.
The MICN Development Course is presented in a combination of dynamic lectures and hands-on workshops. This intensive training prepares an Emergency Department nurse to become a Mobile Intensive Care Nurse (MICN), whose role is to direct the pre-hospital care activities of paramedics.
Class size is limited.
Fee: $500 & includes all materials and hands-on trauma skills day (10/24)
Transfers or refund requests must be made in writing and faxed or postmarked no less than 14 days prior to the start of the course. A $50 administrative fee will be assessed on these requests. A full refund will be made in the event a course is cancelled or rescheduled.
The student shall meet the approved “Eligibility Requirements” per the LA County EMS Agency’s
Reference 1010 “MICN Certification/Recertification” Policy 1A.
