Geriatric Assessment Clinic
The Geriatric Assessment Clinic is a program of Huntington Hospital Senior Care Network. Located in the Ambulatory Care Center at Huntington Hospital, it provides an in-depth medical assessment and diagnostic service for seniors who are experiencing problems in everyday functioning. The Clinic’s goal is to determine how best to maintain and improve quality of life for frail older adults.
With the physician leadership of a board-certified geriatrician, a team of geriatric professionals conducts a comprehensive evaluation to identify symptoms that limit an older person's independence, including memory loss, medication interaction, incontinence, gait and balance disorder, and mood or sleep pattern changes. The team also includes an internal medicine resident, a geriatric nurse, a social worker and other specialists as needed.
Medicare, preferred provider organization (PPO) insurance payment and self-pay are accepted.
