We are experiencing a shortage of blood.
The need for blood is ongoing, please help us be prepared. All blood types are always welcome! HMH Blood Donor Center, Wingate Building, Ground Floor. Please call: (626) 397-5422
The Blood Donor Center at Huntington Hospital provides comprehensive whole blood and pheresis donation services, as well as therapeutic phlebotomy services and outpatient transfusions. Blood components collected at this facility are used by patients at Huntington Hospital. As a non-profit hospital and the only trauma unit in the entire San Gabriel valley, we are responsible for providing medical care to a community that consists of two million people. In addition to our large service area, we have the only level 2 neonatal intensive care unit in the area.
Much of the medical care we provide depends on a steady supply of voluntary blood donations, and yet only 3 percent of the eligible donors in California give blood. The unfortunate result is chronically low blood supplies. This shortage affects the Trauma Center and the hospital’s ability to help those in need of blood products.
A donation at Huntington Hospital’s Blood Donor Center means blood is available for your family, friends, neighbors and community when it is needed most.
