Saving Lives One Donor at a Time.
The need for blood is ongoing, and your generosity can help us to be prepared.
The Blood Donor Center at Huntington Hospital provides comprehensive whole blood and pheresis donation services, as well as therapeutic phlebotomy services.
Much of the medical care we provide depends on a steady supply of voluntary blood donations, and yet only 3 percent of the eligible donors in California give blood. The unfortunate result is chronically low blood supplies. This shortage affects the trauma center and the hospital’s ability to help those in need of blood products.
There are many ways you can help:
- You can help support their transfusion needs, by making a replacement donation
- You can also coordinate a list of family and friends who will also be willing to provide blood and platelet donations
- For your convenience our bloodmobile will come to you, simply suggest a sponsor to host a blood drive
