Workforce Development: Basic Dysrhythmia

This class is for RNs working in telemetry or ACLS units. Course content:  review of anatomy and physiology and electrophysiology, rhythm strip analysis, identification of basic dysrhythmias including: sinus rhythms, atrial rhythms, junctional rhythms, AV blocks, ventricular rhythms, pacemaker function, drug and mechanical interventions, cardioversion/defibrillation, transcutaneous pacing (TCP), and pacemaker troubleshooting.

Format includes:
Individual and group rhythm analysis, static and dynamic rhythm analysis using simulator, three short quizzes, comprehensive final. 32 CE Hours will be awarded upon course completion.
