Huntington Bariatric Surgery Events
Huntington Hospital offers free bariatric events for individuals who are interested in learning more about weight loss surgery. These events include bariatric symposiums, a weight loss support group, and a bariatric mentor information group. Information of each of these is as follows:
Bariatric Symposium (Gastric Bypass & Lap Band)
The bariatric symposium is a detailed informational meeting that explores in detail, the various options regarding the surgical treatment of obesity. The meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month from 7 - 9 pm and on the first, second and the third Saturday of each month from 10am - noon.
All of the symposiums take place at the Braun Auditorium on the Huntington Hospital campus.
Event Listing
Bariatric Support Group
Discuss issues relating to eating, wellness, relationships, discrimination, emotional feelings, body image, etc., in a caring non-judgmental environment. All are welcome including partners and family members.
The weight loss support group is held every Tuesday from 7 - 9 pm and takes place in the Huntington Pavilion, third floor conference room.
