Autologous Donation

Autologous donation allows patients to have their own blood drawn and stored for an anticipated use, such as elective surgery. The procedure requires a physician's order, but other restrictions, such as weight or age limitations, are less stringent than those for community blood donation.

Service Hours and Location

The Blood Donor center at Huntington Hospital is open Monday 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Tuesday through Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The Blood Donor center is closed on all major holidays. Please contact the Donor center to schedule your appointment.
